Day 7, Homeward Bound

Today we farewelled Tamworth. Our time there has been an interesting balance of growth and uncertainty. Michele and I will be the first to admit that we aren't the biggest fans of Country Music. During our time in Tamworth we have seen some exceptional displays of musicianship. We have been inspired by other artist's passion. We have learnt about the different aspects to being great all round artists. From great songwriting, great musicianship, to entertaining performances and engaging an audience. We have also discovered new artists that we would have never known about if we hadn't gone. So grateful for having this experience and I believe our music and performances will grow from this trip.

We were on the road by 7 am, headed for Parkes. I've wanted to go to Parkes ever since I saw the movie "The Dish". So, we called into to check the Dish out, these things you need to see in person to understand their true scale.

We arrived in Hay, after travelling 841kms from Tamworth. It's been a long day of chasing the white lines into the horizon. It's been a day filled with music, listening and appreciating other artists. It's also been a day of new song ideas coming forth through new lyric and melody ideas. Time for some shut eye as there is more road to be covered tomorrow. Thank you Music for allowing us to share in your magic, we are truly truly lucky to do what we do....
