Day 3, There's Music In The Street...
It's day 3, we were up early, hit the showers and on the bus headed back into town. First thing on our minds was to find the nearest coffee shop. As we made our way, we passed by some buskers in the street. There music was filling the air, I have never seen so many buskers in the one area before. So many aspiring and talented musicians on display. Michele and I stopped to listen to a duo for a couple of tracks, beautiful harmonies and their passion for their music was undeniable.
We found Gloria Jeans, called in for a drink and some cake.Â
After that we just strolled through the streets, checking out other buskers, market stalls and venues.
Once again we were on the bus, heading to Cattleman's Steakhouse to listen to a Willy Nelson Tribute Show performed by Norm Price.Â
After that we heard some music from Peter Campbell, he played a mix of songs, some originals and some covers. I got to say, I love listening to music when it is raw. It just has an essence to it, an emotion that sometimes gets lost in finely polished recordings. Anyways, back on the bus back into town. Once again we walked through the street, listening to buskers as we went in search of a supermarket. Finally, we found Coles, did some healthy (Maybe, not so healthy) shopping for food supplies. Then back to the bus, heading back to our cabin. We finished up going to the Oasis to listen to another couple of Narena's favourites. Finally, we called past the servo for an ice cream and then into bed.... bring on day 4!
