Is there anybody home????

Yes.

Just been flitting about the place.

We've been busy and then not so busy. Moved a couple of times and I have a new motto...

"Say YES to everything..."

Life moves more smoothly when you leave all the doors open for opportunity and chance to find. So, when one of them knocks, I say "YES" and peek through the crack. That's why we had relocated to the Flinders Ranges for a short spell and worked and lived in Parachilna (The Prairie Hotel) for a couple of months. Not a lot of music occurred during the latter part of the tenure, due to me losing my voice for the best part of 4 weeks. YES. It scared the sheet out of me, wondering if I would ever be able to sing again (or speak in a normal tone at the very least). Patience is a virtue and it did return. We made some new friends, had some fun times and met lots of interesting tourists - one couple were on foot from Alice Springs to Port Augusta and stayed a little while to recharge. So after many, many hours of bed making, housekeeping, kitchen hand-ing and dish pigging, we said our goodbyes and moved onto the next location...

ROXBY DOWNS

I never imagined I would return to this place, and that's not a bad thing, just never thought about it, but there you are... leaving the door open and someone drives 800 kms in one day to interview you to work for them, without even applying for a role. So whilst the gigging had slowed down (due to aforementioned vocal challenges), we were back to working full time, and the odd weekend travelling to and fro, playing and singing and catching up with family and friends.

So... we played a local gig, did a couple of pre-booked regular ones out of town then...

DID SOMEONE GET THE NUMBER OF THE FREIGHT TRAIN THAT HIT ME?????

Tonsilitis

So, I think the Universe is giving me a little nudge to take care of myself.

With much thoughtfulness, we are rebuilding, rewriting, and recharging.
