Gratitude, The Key To Everything.....
In our modern lives, so filled with drama and distraction, all the shiny things that are pushed in our faces that promise us endless happiness.... but in truth are often short lived. The latest smart phone, TV, Clothing that's in fashion etc. There is one simple thing we tend to take for granted, GRATITUDE. Believe me I've been guilty of buying into it too, but lately I have been reminded of how truly simple and life changing just taking a moment, taking a breath and reflecting on the things that I am actually thankful for can make a world of difference. It's like the sun breaking through the clouds, the warmth of the sun kissing your face on an otherwise cold day.
In the past few weeks, Liquid Lunch has been gaining momentum, we have been nominated for an award, our music is reaching further and further out into the world. Our following on Spotify has been growing and our streaming traffic is building. We have almost sold out of our first run of CD's of the EP "Sketches 2 Seed". We are continually getting booked for gigs.....for all these things we are truly grateful.
Beyond all of these achievements, the thing that I am most grateful for, (other than sharing this musical journey and life with Michele)is the conversations and time we share with the amazing people we meet at our gigs, each with their own unique life stories to tell. It's humbling,it's life, it's real, it's an honour to have someone want to communicate and connect with you. It's also a reminder of all the things we take for granted in our own lives. It's a chance to reflect and share in the things we are grateful for.
Gratitude is truly the key to everything....
